Student Engagement Online in Biology: Animations, Video, P-sets

Dr. Wiltrout describes how in Prof Solomon and Martin’s Cell Biology class, Dr. Thornton created video animations to help students who are inexperienced in lab work to better understand experimental techniques and experimental design. Click stream data harvested from Biology courses shows that students are watching the optional online videos (sometimes multiple times) as well as using the optional problem sets.
